Default Started turbo project

I dropped the car off at SQR this w/e and we got to work immediately. We got the nose off, cut the radiator support, set the mock up engine in with the headers and cross-over and got the turbo mounted. The motor will be a Hans Feustal 396, ET255 heads, custom cam from Hans, large frame 76mm turbo and a huge air to air up front. PG with Neal Chance converter and 9" rear. Here are a few pics of the initial build up. I wanted to build a fast, but somewhat streetable car that has the potential to be a monster.

I hope to be the radiator support built this next w/e and get a radiator ordered, then I can start mounting the intercooler.

I had it custom made by Chiseled Performance. Draw a picture and he can build it.

Thanks for the props. This was my first set of headers to build, so it was a learning experience.

Talk about **** you know something about, dumbass. The FBI is busting the ring of guys that did the stealing...and they generally kept the stuff they stole. On top of that, he's working to replace peoples stuff, but he can't do it over-night. He'll come through.

I got a few updated pics. I took some while I was building the tanks on the air to air. The others are a rough mockup. Cool thing, it all fits behind the nose.

We got the intercooler cage made and all the ducting done! I need to get my intake setup on to go any further.

Afco shipped the radiator on Friday....this thing is coming together alot faster than I ever imagined.

Looks cool. Why didnt you make the hot side out of all stainless though? Well worth it in durability and strength.

I've got a few updates. It took a few weeks to get my Afco radiator in. It's mounted with the fan. I also mounted the tranny cooler water pump today. Hans finally has some pistons, so maybe the motor will be done by......

I may redo the stock hood hardware and mount some Dzus fasterners off some of the intercooler bracing. With the elbow I'm going to be using, I'm going to need a TALL hood, so it'll prob need a lift-off. Lift-off hoods are ok for street cars aren't they
