Nope his car was totaled on the way to the shop to be repaired.

I know it's late, but I was researching this heater core thing. And damn, sucks about the totaled cam-ro.

My gf hates mine, it leaks when the ac is on, she makes me ride over there

Sounds like you've got a different problem.
If it only leaks when the AC is on. And it looks clear and does not smell like antifreeze I would check to make sure the drain hole for the AC is not stopped up.

mine was doing that it was just some water aka moisture. it was the drain tube for the a/c was a little clogged a couple dropped gears and it cleared on its own works awesome now.

Had this in my shop the other day but with a 4runner your drain is stopped up its a 2 second fix and it saves you alot of money in carpet cleaning

should be down near the firewall underneith your ride near the passenger side heat shield.
