Houston offers plenty to do on vacation and lots of outdoor activities and fun things to see and do. Here you find information on hiking, camping and campgrounds , canoeing, parks, hotels, golf, local activities, scenic drives, walks, area parks and anything else you can do outdoors in Houston!

Take a look at Bastrop state park, good hiking trails and water around. There's primitive camping and tent sites along with RV spots I believe. It's in a pine forest so it's a pretty fun place.

The texas parks and wildlife site is your best bet to find out what parks are 100% open and what-not.

Bastrop is a GREAT state park. Its not very far and has ton of hiking and biking and should be good. It was one of my fav parks by far.

Ill have to say that Perdenales (not spelled right) Falls state park is good too but might be a little far. Guadalupe state park is another good one too.

Go to the TX Parks and Wildlife website and pick one for ya.
