Ok I've installed the double roller, the oil pump, and the windage tray. I know I need to bend the oil pickup tube bracket to fit since it was designed for the stock single roller chain (LS1).
What is the best way to go about this? I have a vise and a ball pein hammer but I am hesitant. Has anyone had to do this on an LS1 build?
Thanks for any help/advice!
Zig

Done it a bunch of times. I've used many different things depending on where and what I am working with, but a big crecent wrench works well you don't have to move it very much. And you might want to double check your pickup to pan clearance Playdough works good enough for the DIY people usually just put some tape on the pick up with a ball of playdough and bolt the pan down with a few bolts take it off and see what you have 1/4-3/8's is good. Thanks Inspector. I just bent it using some elbow grease and a vise, and I got that bolt (the bolt on the main cap) in the oil pickup tube bracket hole.
BUT, the bracket hole wasn't centered perfectly around the bolt; it touched the threads a tiny bit on one side. That was as close as I could get it, so I bolted the pickup tube at the oil pump, torqued its bolt to 106 inch lbs, and then i torqued down the oil tube bracket to 18 ft lbs. Now, when i torqued the oil tube bracket down with the nut, it felt like it aligned itself a little. But this is my first time so it's hard to tell.
I took some hi-res pics so you could see what it looks like; hopefully it looks ok and i didn't f something up?
Here's a tight closeup of the oil tube bracket bolt: http://zigzautonotes.googlepages.com...acket_bolt.jpg I checked it after it was torqued, it looks like it's sitting flush.
Here are some other pics of the pickup tube:

It seems like it bolted on there pretty good, just want a second opinion
