Kelly never said 8 sec cars were slow in his comment. He just said to quit sucking. As stated, delivery is a key to not pissing people off. When you come in like everyone is slow and therefor unworthy of your attendance at the track, that is poor delivery. It is also different when someone who runs 8's says something to another person in the 8's. Just like certain racial terms can be used with in a race, but holy hell breaks out if someone from another race uses the same term.

I understand where your coming from on some points but you do word things like your car is gods gift to the car world. I personally dont know what it should run ive heard so many different things about the car that if I hadnt seen it in person I might start to think it didn't exist. All I know is that with 470hp running 7.38 NA @ 95mph doesnt really make since to me. It seems that it should be closer to 6.9 7.0 rang but I could be wrong and ill be the first to admit it. I just don't appreciate when you brag about your car obviously running faster than stock car on street tires. Thats the point I was trying to get across.

Don't act like that's some sort of magical car running that time. It has a bottle and a good trans and verter. It's not that farfetched to run those times.

Considering the fact that the setup is not made for motor and only has a 3800 stall vs a good healthy NA stall...... that is close to what it can/should do. Is it as fast as others... nope. Can the same setup run a 6.70? Nope.....Not without a different converter, less weight, and different intake/heads.
BBC, I ran 7.30's with 490rwhp on the 6 speed spraying it... you ran 7.30's NA with around 400rwhp. Goes to show that weight and having your car dialed in make a big difference.
I am just satisfied with running as good of times on motor as I did with my 346 H/C sprayed car on the 6 speed.
If the car can run a 7.20 on motor...... ask Josh.... it will do a 6.20 on the jug easy..... ****, I ran a 7.68 NA before and the bottle put me at 6.48.....
yall see where I am comming from?

I understand it all....some cars with less done are faster then others with a whole bunch done to it and vice versa of course. I just dont know why someone who is going to be faster then someone who is going to be slower has to state the obvious. With that being said see everyone out there.

And I should go a .20 with a 408, TH400, and slicks with 460rwhp and around 3690lbs without driver.

Funniest thing is...I picked up over 40rwhp/50rwtq from what those times were.
My car is pretty much full weight as well, same tranny too.
Hmmmm!

Run your car on 450rwhp and let me know if it runs better than a .90
All these guys with high dollar setups talkin smack bout my budget build!
btw, what does it weigh with you in it? 3750 is my guess.
