^ yeah it sucks...and is 100000x worse when you wear contact lenses

 

Have the same one and It works great, had use of a older miller mig at a old race shop and it's right on par with that

 

make sure you buy your welder from a welding store and they will set you up with what you need

 

When I started to weld I found a local community college that offered a welding certificate as a night class three nights a week. I went after work for a semester. The class was only $50, and besides the good instruction I bet I burned up $600 worth of rod and wire during the class. We learned OXY/ACET BRAZING, STICK, MIG, and TIG. I would suggest starting out that way! At the end of the class we plasma cut a pop can apart, turned the logo upside down, and Tig welded it back together!

 

For the home get a simple $129.99 welder from harbor Freight. Cheap and something to learn on.
