Default EZCarLift pics

*****UPDATE - I no longer own this lift - see post #18 *****

I was going to get a MaxJaxx, but this turned out better for me.

It isn't a 2 post lift, but it is as good as anything is going to get and still fit in my garage plus it doesn't take up a lot of space and it is very portable.

The caster kit works great - the wheels are large so it moves very easily - almost too easily, way better than my wheel dollies.

Ditto!
It looks to me like the whole car would move around, does it? Is it stable while lifting?
Looks pretty cool how much and where did you get it?

www.ezcarlift.com It uses a drill to lift it up. The lift moves straight up; it doesn't shift at all.

It looks cool and all, but for that price, I bought a 4 post lift. It's movable, but not portable.

Those things would sell like crazy if they were like $500. But for that price im with The Alchemist. you could have just bought a 2 or 4 post and not lifted it all the way if your garage was too short. But its definatly cool.

I suppose I could hang that 4 post on the wall when I am not using it

I am sure it wouldn't be in the way at all

I think if the price was around 1000.00 it would be worth it.

Looks pretty slick.Went to the site and it could be used for just about anything but on getting it up is there just one point for the drill or do you do each leg?It would be neat to get powerwasher under the car without lying on my back.

There is just one point to attach the drill to - it raises both sides at the same time.

Too much money. For half that, I'de think about it.. still prob wouldent buy it though. If I'm gonna spend 2Gs I might as as well put that as a down payment on a real lift and finance the rest

If you're worried about price, there's a group buy for the ezcarlift going on right now. A couple guys from a garage forum I'm on started one. There are 24 people joined as "interested". EZcarlift is now sponsoring the group buy and offered a pretty big discount. More buyers just need to commit.

So far there's a lot of positive feedback about the lift. When you join the group buy, you need to provide your make, model, dimensions...so I'm assuming these things are custom built to order. Check it out here:

ezcarlift group buy.

UPDATE - I was using the lift and it collapsed . Fortunately no one, like ME, was hurt. It was on the casters and either the shaft broke or the end separated causing the lift to fall, crushing the caster support. It took a lot of work and several floor jacks to get the car off of the lift.

After discussing this with the manufacturer, I returned the lift and received a refund. They said that there was a newer version that would have eliminated this problem and they handled it pretty well. This could have turned out a lot worse.
