I'm to lazy to go out to the shop and take a picture of mine but it looks something like this, has coiled spring to open the jaws ( a nicer unit then what Sears has ). http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=prod...-000065663-907

yah thats what im looking for im just trying to figure out which ones to buy...im doing a shift kit install and one of the how toos online said "you will need good quality, long snap ring pliers. If you have the style of snap ring plier that is thick and allows swappable ends and found in most autoparts stores nowadays, it will not fit into the small hole." so im just wondering which ones will fit without taking the whole thing apart and then going to the autoparts store or sears ya know

Thanks

Went out and took a picture ( poor ) of a couple of my fixed end pliers, the red one uses a spring and has smaller ends, the yellow plier has larger ends. I'd loan them to you but but I think you live a little too far away, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

FYI you will need a pair like the yellow handled one pictured but the tip will need to be much long, like 2" longer in order to easily get in there to remove the snap ring. I bought a pair of Snap-On pliers that did the trick. And make sure you take out the right valve, I accidently pulled out the TCC control valve since the instructions suck. Oh and have fun with the servo on the side and make sure your get the metal ring that holds it back in right, mine wasnt seated by a tiny bit and popped out 1 mile from my house and it wasnt fun.

Not bad for my first time to work on a tranny though.

FYI this is the location of the vavle NOT TO REMOVE.
