Shopping for welding supplies If you live in a small burg like I do, then you know that the local welding supply shops really gouge folks, unless you are a commercial account.
I have been buying supplies when I pass a Tractor Supply, but found that the material is rather cheap. Probably why it's inexpensive ... also, the welding rods are about 3" shorter than typical.
I surfed and found www.weldingdepot.com
Consumeables for my plasma cutter were 1/2 the price of my local shop. Grinding wheels from $.99 ... I even bought a leather welding cape for $25. I hadn't seen them any cheaper than $65 anywhere else.
I bought leather welding gloves for $3!
Just thought I'd pass that along ....
