If Tally TransAm can make this tool in 10 minutes I sure would like to see him at work. It takes more time than that to drive over and buy the material before you have even cut metal. You have to buy a 3' bar. Now to find the stud. They come from a fastener supplier and a minimum is required. We are already way past our 10 minutes that Tally can make it. You have spent more than two hours just rounding up the materials and haven't even cut metal yet.
In my opinion my tool looks a little more professional than Tally's. I'm sure his works but you can't market the quality he is showing in that pic.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
theres the material, FREE
i used a cutoff wheel (could use a sazzall, band saw, whatever) and cut five slots where the U is and broke of the pieces with a pair of pliers, theres about 7 minutes
drill a hole, takes maybe 1
grind down rough edges, 1-2 minutes
there 10 minutes
and you dont need a stud and nut, yes its nice, but ive done four springs swaps on my car and 3 on friends using the rocker arm bolts with not a single problem
i didnt say you could aquire all the materials in 10 minutes, i said you could make it in ten minutes.
who cares what it looked like, only that it works. like i said i wasnt trying to market it or make any money, just help out people that wanted a cheap spring compressor. if people want to buy yours more power to you, personally i would rather use my hands and make one for free, than pay someone to do it for me.
could i also ask you where you got the dimensions for your tool, did you measure them yourself or find them online
