Question Broke My Husky Wratchet

I was trying to get a lug nut off my Toyota, had to stand on my Husky 1/2" wratchet to break it lose and ended up breaking it

Does Husky still replace them for free? I originally bought it from Home Depot.

Anyone have any experience with getting a free replacement on a broken tool??

Thanks

I've heard of times when HD replaced them on the spot and I've heard of times where they've made people send the tools in. Call or visit your HD and see what they can do for you, I guess.

Take it to them and if they ask for the reciept, tell them you got it as a christmas or birthday present. If it doesn't work at the first store try another one or get your wife or girlfriend to try to return it.

all you have to say (this has worked for me ever time) Husky was advertised as having the same on the spot replacement that craftsman has. I need it now.

Yeah, snap on is great. If you break something 5 minutes after the truck leaves you can get it replaced no questions asked.....the next time the truck comes by.

Or you could get a tool from any of the retail stores that sell good quality tools with the same lifetime warranty but better availability for returns. Not baggin on Snap-on, but I think having to track down your driver to swap something sucks.

I agree snap on make top notch tools but I hate being stranded with broken tools when I could just run to sears and have my tool of almost = quality replaced on the spot

it seems like you have very nice snap on dealers.

the one that comes to my shop only comes once a month and you have to wait another 8 to get your broken socket replaced, sometimes he does not replace it at all.

I recommend next time smacking the ratchet with a rubber mallet rather than standing on the ratchet

if you're buying husky tools, might as well go to a harbor freight or northern tool and get yourself a breaker bar. wratchets aren't meant for that.
