Hell i think some of Sanp-on tools are made over seas.
Also just because they are "made in china" does not make them any worse than made in the US. Its all based on what the manufacture says to use for fabrication process and what mentals. In a nut shell "cheap chinese steel" and "cheap american steel" can be the same thing, tool steel aloy in american and china are the same.

it all comes down to how much do you use your tools and how they feel.
for me i started with craftsmen then when i used matco's 88T rachet i fell in love
also i use my tools 40+ hours a week so craftsmen for me just dont hold up as my snap ons and matcos. i dont say this because of the name i can show you pictures and pictures and pictures of broken/ bent craftsmen tools.
but if i dont do this for a living i would deffenetly use craftdmen for the price

Most everybody knows your for the most part getting the same product overseas or in the usa. Its more the principle of it. Its amazing how a wrench when it was made in the usa cost ex. $10.00 considering your paying usa wages, manufacturing and so on. That same wrench made in china with their currency, which isn't even close to ours by a long shot, still cost $10.00. That overhead usually doesn't make it back to us, it ends up staying in the corporates pocket.
I usually look to see where its made and if it comes down being made here or overseas(china, taiwan, etc). I'll go with the one made in the usa even if its more.
I know its competition but where does it stop.
