Need some help Hey guys here is the deal I am 18 I am lucky to have trust funds from both of my grandparents. Here is my question I am wanting to build a building I can work in and then build a loft type deal to live in. I have a budget of lets say 60 grand would it be possible to do that? I would probably like a 2-3 bay then the living quarter which does not have to be that big. I just need so ideas guys. And maybe in the future make a small business out of it.
I think it can be done but resale would be a loss. Not many buyers are looking for somehthing like you would have. Its not a house yet not a comlpete business...I would look into a house with a lot big enough to expand on or something along those lines.

1.Depending on the building codes, they may not like the idea of a living space in a shop.
2. They may not allow a commercial operation at a residential zoned property, and vice/versa.
If you are intent on doing this, ask for quotes from various builders. If nothing else, get some "by the sq ft" rough estimates. Then, you can make guestimates on your own...
Bottom line: B4 U start spending granma's money, do your homework.
