Hitachi drill help

I just bought a hitachi 18v hammer drill (WH 18DSAL) and when i put the battery in the charger the light doesnt blink like it should to say it is charging....
Is this normal can anyone shed some light on this for me. (tech support is closed on the weekends)

I'm assuming the battery isn't fully charged? Mine blinks for at least a little bit, but if it is mostly charged, it doesn't blink for long.

I have 2 of the same drill and a couple 18v impacts with 4 chargers. They always blink when charging. I can say that I have had good luck with my stuff, but have had repairs as well. The great thing about hitachi are the warranties. You need to talk to them on monday and have them refer you to your nearest authorized service location. Does the fan come on in the charger?
