A 1/4" stud, even if it's only Grade 2, still has a ultimate tensile capacity of over 2400#.
Should be fine even for Comp 977's that have over 400# open pressure.
That's a pretty sweet idea having it compress 2 at the same time. Wonder what the price will be.

If anyone wants to know I got this from Vinci performance for $120.00 Orlando Florida. I was told that Crane has yet to release the full shipment of these tools because of not having the proper boxes for shipping.
