Transmission Jack Would this be worth buying for a converter install?

Yeah that will work for the weight of a 4L60E they weigh no more tha 150lbs. I can carry one on each shoulder 
Make sure you have a plug to seal up the rear of the tranny, once the driveshaft is removed fluid will go everywhere.

Harbor Freight had one that I picked up for
near the same price, but it's more proper
with a wide wheelbase, a cradle and straps
to secure the transmission to it. That one
there looks like a hurt waiting to happen.

Yes, the Harbor Freight transmission jack is a better buy than those stick-on adapters for floor jacks....
I paid $50 for mine on sale at a local HF store. Looks like $69.99 is the "regular price". Still worth it. I used it to hoist the T56 up into my LS1 BMW.
