Recomendations for an engine stand

Does anyone have a link, or can you recommend a good engine stand for a LS1. I don't want to spend the money for a crank type. I got a 6.0 shortblock from a buddie, and the stand that I've used for a SBC won't work. The attachment bars aren't long enough. I could make some longer bars, but I might as well get a new one. Any good stands out there that don't cost an arm and a leg?

They have some good ones at harbor freight.

Thanks Mike, I'll check them out. I'm just suprised the stand I have wouldn't work. Anyone else got a recomendation?

Have a look at www.sjdiscounttools.com they have OTC "stinger" engine stand for under $70, even if it is a stinger its still a brand name engine stand.

I just bought a 1200lb Larin 4 wheel stand at AutoZone for $49.99.
Thats Chicagoland BTW.

that is the one I got from my local harbor freight. I was able to fit all 4 arms to my block with it. Funny thing is I think that this is an SBC style one so Im not sure why yours did not work. Any this is a decent engine stand for cheap.
