Bringing back an oldish thread. Do you have any pictures of the clearance of the back bumper when the car is raised up all the way on the tallest ramps? I'm worried my trans am bumper is gonna drag the ground.

I'm sorry I don't and the car is put away for the year. There is about 2 inches to the pipes and 4 to the bumper I would guess. That orange floor jack you see in my alignment thread just fits under the back of the car with it up but just barely.

Here is the alignment thread

What are you using for your turning plates on top of your home made ramps?
Thanks Robert

It's 2 pieces of clear 25 gauge PVC plastic. Pretty much anything that won't absorb grease will work good for it. Vinyl floor tile samples work really well.

If you have not seen this thread there is more detail on them here:

Wow forgot this thread was out here but glad to see guys still find it useful. ^^ Brandonk LS1 350Z? Have a build thread? I raced against one last summer at an autocross. They didn't know what to do with us so just dumped us both in RUS class. Great car for the LS!

I have the car sitting on 4 of those 2x4 stands now. Love them, however not really sure what I will do with them once the swap is done. Might toss them on CL an sell them.

Want to find some cheap aluminum wheels, counter sink some holes in a steel plate and bolt them to the wheels when needed and use those for stands instead of the 2x4's

Smile DIY Car Ramps

Hello CharChri4,

Thanks for posting pictures of your DIY car ramps. I built them according to your specs. It makes things a lot easier now. My Mondeo is lowered and doesn't like ordinary ramps.
