I went with coupon in hand to get the smaller one for $99 but when I got there they had the larger one for $219, then I added the 20% off and got it for $175. I was concerned about overall reach of the smaller one when pulling a motor from a truck or something taller than my car. They paint them gray now too which I think looks much better than the orange.

I have this crane, I pull the bolt out and slide it out as far as I need. The weight of the engine will keep it in.

DO NOT hook it up like this and pull straight back on the crane trying to move the engine off the mounts.

I have never had an issue doing this, I have pulled LT and LS engines out of Camaro's like this.

The only harbor freight specialty lift I've ever broken was their 400lb capacity transmission jack when I had the entire rear cradle, including my diff, trans and half the weight of the torque tube on it. I'll call that one my fault.

Got my 1 ton yesterday. I bought a coupon off ebay (for $8) and got $100 off the sticker. That puts this at $99, which is DAMN hard to beat. They even paint it a halfway decent color now.

Yea they look pretty nice from ten feet away. There are runs in the paint, etc. At least they aren't that ugly orange anymore.

I thought about getting a new one and just paint it cause I hate that orange.

Only thing I don't like about my current one is the orange color and sorry *** casters on it.
