while at Sears on the night of black friday, i was looking at some nice sales they had on Craftsman "mechanic" tool sets.
but overwhelmed by all the different piece sizes, i didn't want to get something and then not have enough.
i'm only 17 and just getting started on working on cars. what would you guys recommend me starting with for tools?
id figure a decent socket set, jack + stands, torq wrench and bit set?
i just need a little more detail is all. thanks

for an F-body... the immediate tools you will need are
METRIC socket set deep and shallow, bit set, jack stands, jack, an assortment of extensions and a metric set of retcheting wrenches is always handy...
you DO NOT NEED anything standard size... metric only on these cars

i wasnt really thinking about that since the only reason you would need to work on it is if it has an issue.. and those 10-bolts are worthless.
if hes beginning he really shouldnt be messing with a rear end gear assembly himself anyways
