I made my own pipe beveling tool out of a repurposed Harbor Freight electric die grinder and some scrap steel. I'll be using this when I start making my turbo manifold to bevel all the joints for welding.

Still needs some fine tuning, but it should work out pretty well. I need the little posts about ⅛" higher or so and one needs to be relocated.

I was willing to sacrifice a $40 die grinder to make a purpose built machine. If I never make another manifold after this one, I can always grind off the tacks to free up my electric die grinder that I will never use lol. I have an air die grinder and 2 Dremels, so I don't foresee much use for this thing other than beveling pipe.

Made this a couple years ago when I had to sell my toolbox. Was my first real woodworking project.

This is my current project. Need to bend some 4' wide sheet metal to make a bucket for a front end loader I'm building. Decided to make my own press brake for it.

Still needs some fine tuning, but it should work out pretty well. I need the little posts about ⅛" higher or so and one needs to be relocated.

Aluminum- 1/2"
mild steel- 1/4"
stainless- 1/8"
The new design will be top die supports of two 1"X6" cr steel plates sandwiching the die, so strength is limited to the 40T of hydraulic force at this point. With upgraded hydraulics, capacities could almost double.
