Minimum Requirements for swap?

Minimum Requirements for swap? Curious about an LS1 swap in my e46 330ci.
Of course I'll need the motor and tranny, wiring, mounts, harness, and if I want to get a supercharger I'll get digital gauges, a front mount, etc.
I think I'm wanting to stay mostly stock with the exception of a couple cheaper yet effective mods. Cams maybe?
What else should I be looking at? Subframe reinforcements? Stage 2 clutch? Of course I'm going to be replacing some suspension components as well.
I was going to take the car to a dependable shop but I may find someone to do it for me locally in their garage.
Also a price range would be helpful. I've heard it's about 3k for a good motor and tranny?
I just want to know exactly what I'd need to perform the swap.

PS. This may happen on my current car or another cheaper one if I decide to sell my 330 (for more swap, interior, and body work potential)
