Default Tach install with new autometer plug and play?

I've recently purchased the new ls engine plug and play tach adapter to make my install easier;putting my autogauge tach in my 99 ls1. States that it involves no splicing of any sort however not seeing how this is possible. I plugged up the 2 ignition extensions and ran the grey male female connector to the green tachometer signal wire. So what to do with the remaining red, black and white wire....seems like it's going to be almost the same as doing it without the new harness. Please let me know if any of you have installed this as well as a general run down how you did yours.

No, actually I originally posted in vehicle specific forum however no one has commented and it's been there longer then this one has but yet I had one comment on this one.
