I hope that someone here was able to get some good out of that - a couple years ago, I ran across an ad for a local machine shop that was going out of business. 
For about $75 I was able to get a bit of steel, several pounds of aluminum of different thicknesses, an anti-fatigue mat for my garage floor, & some other miscellaneous material.
It really sucks to have a business fail like that, & I tried to be really fair with the guy (I could have talked him into more) - but at the same time, it can be an opportunity for us car guys/fabricators as well.
