Default Rivet Nut Tool Kit

I'm trying to find the "Rivet Nut Tool" kit to install the front splash guard on my 2017 Silverado 2500HD. Do I really need this tool to install the rivet nut, or is it more required to remove a rivet nut?

Needed to install it. You can get a cheapo one at Harbor Freight if you don't want to spend a lot of cash for something you will not use much...

I love my Astro Pneumatic 1442. Astro also has fantastic customer service.

This works in a pinch also. I personally use an impact to speed the process up. The external lock washers only last several uses but they're cheap. I attached a video of a similar setup in use.

I really like the looks of that Astro pc. I bought a small one thats like a regular rivetgun.

I'll prolly cheap out and do the bolt method though.

Big thanks to the OP AND the video

Just saw this. Having used the actual tool before, it can become an issue using those long arms in certain spaces.

That DIY bolt method is awesome! You can use a electric drill or even a wrench in tight spaces.
