Default Where to buy Tech II tool

What is a good brand Tech II tool I can use to bleed my brakes on my '99 Z28 with ABS/ASR? Who sells them?

I'd like to know too. The real ones seem to sell for over $1000 used!

There's actually a video of the Chinese Tech II vs the real thing and they both function pretty much identically. Really can't beat that.

eBay is where you will typically find them. You'll know its a clone because it'll be a TechII selling for $200 lol.

Google aliexpress then on their site search for GM Tech2. The cheap ones will be without a case (box) and free shipping. There are mixed reviews about that site so purchase at your own risk. I have not purchased from them.

The ebay tech 2 with the candi module works fine. I have one. Have not had an issue with it. I use it more than my tech 2 as it is.

AFAIK they will but you still have to buy a subscription to TIS2Web to load them. But I think you can get 48 hour subs for about $60. I did read one complaint on the one from aliexpress was reading other modules on the 07-11 Yukons and Sierras didn't work but that was the only vehicles it supposedly didn't work on but I believe it worked fine on the ECMs and TCMs on those vehicles. And you will be limited to using it on the vehicles that don't require a GM MDI.

I bought one (knock off) a couple years ago, off of eBay for $800, it came with the case, all the plugs to do any vehicle, cables, candi module, and tis2web disk. Haven’t tried finding programs for other brands since I don’t deal with very much of the “other” stuff, but it works fantastic on the GM stuff, even did a BCM reprogram, but as mentioned, most of the 2014 and up are strictly MDI, that’s what I’m looking at next.
