Default scan tools discussion

now I know about the gm tech 2, for example, requires the bcm code to program a new key

I know expensive units like the snap on tool bypass the requirement for a bcm key and just do it.

now my question is has anyone found a scan tool that does the same for less money from websites such as aliexpress -dhgate

just looking for value for money, I've wanted to invest in a tech2 but recently lost my one and only key so had to pay a mate to come round and do a key with his fancy snap on tool because my bcm had been swapped somewhere in my cars life,

cars a 2004 gto

cheers for your imput

We have bought a couple of the cheap <$200 Chinese knock off Tech 2's for the shop because people drop them. They work well & do everything my genuine hewlett packard does.
