ok, i purchased a husky air compressor from the depot 60 gallon upright 7hp oiled head unit. the problem is water water and more water. this comp spits out water like u would not believe! I have a water trap on the unit and a small one a the spraygun/tool. I also leave the drain partially open on the tank and at the water trap and guess what water still coming out! Just did a base/clear floor which is full of fisheyes because of the water" not a bad way to blow a grand worth of paint material". DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO?

Compressing the air causes it to condence the more humity in the air the more water in your tank. They make a blow off that attaches to the bottom of the tank from that you can pipe the discharge to a safe location. They also make line dryers it's like a small air conditionig unit but it will cost ya and I think it only dries the air to the tools.

I do not have an experienced answer for your question. But in the quest of curiosity, what is the humididity in your area and have you ever tried running a dehumidifier?

the humidity is kinda high here but last night was pretty cool and comfortable. I do have a valve to drain the tank and was left partialy open and so was the valve at the water trap. I figured if water were to form it would drain at the valves before it would make its way to the gun. My friend also has the same compressor except his has the 6.5 motor instead, it does not build moisture as much as mine and the tank does not get as hot either.
