Need help with brake line flare tool.

I have a double flare tool that is not gripping the brake line tubing enough to keep it from backing out once I screw down the flare insert. Is this a common problem? The flare tool wing nuts are tightened down all the way. I don’t understand it. I am trying to make a bubble flare with the insert and then screw the pointed flare tip into the center on the tube to complete the double flare. Is there a way/trick/tip to keep the tube from backing out when I screw the flare tip down?

Sounds like your block is crap or you're using the wrong block size for the tubing your trying to flare, I've used the cheapo twenty dollar ones from pep boys without any problems.
