I use it for all kinds of things; pulling seals, digging out the dried RTV from the tube, cleaning my fingernails, etc..
Check out the mechanic tool sets they have a Sears, comes with mostly everything you need, I like to pick up other tools as they become necessary.
A sawzall is a lot of fun, especially when your going to town on stock exhaust.
For the pulley your gonna need a TQ wrench that goes up to 250lbs, throttle body is just a few screws, the tranny is going to require a few other tools (1st off my head is a really really long extension for your ratchet)

It certainly does help, I turned my friends true dual exhaust into a slip fit exhaust with the dremel
otherwise we couldn't fit the damn pipes together A "pipe expander" if you do lots of exhaust work.
A small drill press.
A bench grinder with polishing and grinding wheels.
A punch set, and an awl.
A hand-operated pump for removing tranny fluid.
Various crowbars, and breaker bars.
"Drill Doctor" for sharpening bits.
