rent your flycutting tool? Just like the message states. Would anybody who is interested be willing to rent or let me borrow their flycutting tool? I'd pay shipping both ways and like 20 bucks for your trouble or so. Just pm me if somebody is interested. Thanks

They aren't all that expensive unless you want a big one. Of course you will need a mill to use it.

a whata? i need something i can do with the motor still in the car. i have an extra set of 806 castings. how would i use that bad boy? Is it drill friendly? i figure i can make some sort of adjustable mount on the shank to limit depth, but i dont know exactly how that would work. please help. thanks

Those would both do the job, but no they are not drill friendly, and I don't know of anything that can be mounted on the motor while it's still assembled. To fly cut the pistons you need to disassemble the motor and put the pistons in a jig in a mill.
Hi, check out one of the cam companies, cant remember which one had it, they are approx 50-60 bucks for one. you have to disassemble the head insert it through the guide and use it with a drill to operate it. Unfortunatly you will be taking the heads off quite a few times per valve to check progress. If you go to afr's web site, look at feature articles for fords scroll down until you get to an article that states 200 shot on stock ford 302 junkyard motor, in that article it states the company who makes the tool, since they had to use it.

Remeber to use cutters that are two sizes bigger than your valves since the cutting alingment is slightly off due to the dummy heads being a fraction of an inch higher than the deck when you first start cutting...
