Default Looking for individual plastic socket rails

The kind like Sears sells, with the spring loaded ball to hold the sockets on.

Looks like this:

The problem is, is I need to find them individually. I have LOTS of socket sets using the old style rails like this:

Sears sells them as 3 packs. Useless. I have 8 1/2 socket rail sets and I think I need 9. But I only have 5 3/8 and 3 1/4 sets. So basically I'd be spending at least $90 for a whole bunch of useless rails leftover.

PLUS I'd also like to find the individual clips. I don't see them anywhere. I'd like to have more sockets on each clip than they come with (they can fit them, I've tried).

Ideas?

I'm in the same boat. They never send enough clips. I had asked about individual clips over a year ago and the two kids I asked pretty much told me that they didn't see any so they don't have any. I just shook my head and though "well, there's another pair of self tought geniuses". More than likely they only sell the rails and clips together in the multi sized 3 pack so they make more money off you.

I just did a bunch of looking, looks like Sears is really the best deal. VIM sells a socket rail set just like the Sears ones, but they have 10 studs on each (which is nice). They are also $6+ a piece, which isn't so nice.

Ernst also sells a similar setup, with 15 studs on each rack, and they also sell the studs seperately, AND they come with labels. Very nice BUT the studs do not have ***** in them, they are just plastic. I'm not sure how well that plastic spring would hold up over time. You can use both sides of the rack too, and you can get attachments to add ratchets or extensions. Here's the link: https://www.expeditionexchange.com/e...ndexmain.shtml

Ignore the prices there, they cost $5 a piece real-world.

Seems really nice overall, I just don't know about those plastic 'springs'. Hmph. Maybe I'll get the Sears and then buy the kit of labels. Though if I got the Ernst ones, I could just buy new clips if they wear out. It was like $2 for a 15 pack I think.

Hmmmm, tough decision, will have to sleep on it.

Not positive, but I believe I have seen the plastic clips separately at Sears.

Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow and check. I don't see them listed on their site but that doesn't mean anything.

Sears web site sucks, check the stores again and if they do not have them the sears service centers will have the clips most likely.
