Default Anybody use Crane's new valve spring tool yet?

Crane's new valve spring compressor kicks ***! I have never done a valve spring swap that fast. It does two at a time. Makes job go much faster and easier. It was a $100 but I thought that it was well worth the money.

It is an awsome tool, used it when I installed my cam, makes quick work of replacing valve springs. Best money I ever spent on a tool. Would not want to be without it when I do my next cam install.

Crane is a sponsor here and they show Jeg's as one of there retailers, Jeg's has them for $106.99 plus shipping. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...33&prmenbr=361

Being Larry doesn't want to make his spring tool ( I think it's $45 shipped now ) unless he can get enough orders ( 10 or more ) I believe the Crane tool from Jeg's is the way to go. The Crane tool will cost you more then the Larry spring tool but take a look at the two and decide for yourself which is a better deal for you. JMO

Here is a side note to this tool. When I baught mine I called most of the vendors that said they carried the tool. Everyone of them told me it would take two weeks to get it, because they did not actually stock the tool, they just sold it. Some told me that there was not enough demand to stock it. So I went right to the source and called Crane direct, and guess what, they stocked several of these tools. The best part of this tool is that you can do two valves at the same time. So before you spend your money with a vendor that says they carry it, call Crane, they know how to take care of their customers.

How do you guys fill the 2 cylinders at 1 time? Just using 2 separate air hoses?

It does 2 springs at a time not 2 cylinders. And if it matters any, I've always found the TDC method much quicker than air (on an f-body anyway).
