Default Car trailer - what to shop for?

Car trailer - any helpful hints?
I'm shopping for a car trailer to pull my T/A during the summer and snowmobiles during the winter. What I'm looking into is a v-nosed 30 foot trailer. 102" wide, 25'10" inside lenth, then v is 3'6" more. Over all length is 31'8".

Questions, what trailer options do you like? I'm thinking a roadside door (so when I open my car door inside the trailer it opens through the side door), front stoneguard, chrome corners (has to look good) What else?

Question 2: Has anyone used a car trailer to carry snowmobiles? if so how was it loading/unloading and pulling in the snow?

Question 3: Will I think this is toooo much trailer? 32 foot total... I feel this thing hooked to the back of my 2003 2500 ram is going to be the lenght of a semi!

Thanks
Dan

Can't have to big you will always find something to carry on it. Make sure you get brakes on BOTH axels. NO SIDE rails. make sure your door open while you are on the rig. Getting snow machines up it should be no problem.
OH hell! just noticed it is closed in. Does the snow machine have reverse?
I'm thinking no one else responded because they are jealous! I know I am. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

When you order the trailer you want to make sure you know where you want the roadside door, what I did was layout the floor plan on the driveway. That will give you an idea where to have the door placed, you don't want the car too far foward or too far back of the trailer axles. This should also give you an idea where to have the floor d-rings installed, you need four but I'd add a couple of more. If the trailer doesn't come with the alloy wheels get them, also order a spare tire/wheel. If you can add more lighting inside I'd suggest you get it, good luck with your choice.

Can you open the door and get out side a 102 wide trailer (96 wide on inside). Or should I opt for an access door so My car door would open through the acess door?

Being the f-bodies sit low you might find the car door won't open all, the bottom of the road side door opening might be a little too high. What I did was the load the car into the trailer then had the front and rear tire ( drivers side ) location marked on the trailer floor. I placed 2" x 8" ( 18" long ) boards in those locations, that gave me enough lift so the car door wouldn't hit. Another thing I did was use some wood screws to hold the 2" x 8" in place, that way the boards won't move when you're loading the car.
