How to modify air impact wrench for more torque
I've got a Chicago Pneumatic model 749 impact wrench that I'm rebuilding, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to modify it while it's apart.
I remember years ago, I knew a Cornwell salesman that would modify impact wrenches (mostly Ingersolls) for higher output.
The guys I worked with sweared by his modifications, and all they could tell me was that he "drilled them out."
Does anyone know what holes specifically I should drill out?
And this is a "torque limited" impact; is there any way I can bypass that?
