I finished my spring swap using a Princess Auto p.o.s. generic valve spring compressor... it works OK for the front springs, but the arms that hook near the bottom of the springs don't have any sort of ridge so if you're a nub like me, you'll end up launching 3 or 4 across the garage before totally not trusting them!

This tool would have made my swap sooo much easier.
