Some years back I made my own valve spring tool similar to the lisle brand but I changed it so the hole to bolt it to a head is opposite the handle and the part that compresses the spring and retainer is in between so to use the tool You push down on the handle and this in my opinion is easier to do , You can do it without the head being attachted to anything and is less stressful on the bolt holding it to the head . The only disadvantage I've found is doing the 3 closest to the firewall on pass side with engine in car , but with modifications it still will work for those .
Ordered mine on 10/21. USPS post marked 10/25 in a padded envelope (with tracking number), received 4 or 5 days later. Thanks Tim. Looking forward to installing some springs with this well machined tool.
dynodanmanda79, perhaps you can PM Tim for your tracking number.
