Tim's Valve Spring Tool Now Available
Just wanted to double check with you, LS1 ??? Let me know
I don't quite understand what your asking?
I'll be using the tool to install Patriot dual springs onto a 317 6.0 head.
ThirdGenLS1, I received your payment and also needed to know which style you needed but by looking at your Signature, it appears you also need the LS1. If you can let me know by PM to double check that would be great as I would like to ship your order in the morning as well. Thanks
Tim

Yes I have LT1 tools in stock and have plenty of the Cylinder Air Fill Tools in stock as well. The Package Price is $ 50 Shipped. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will send an email when I receive payment. Thanks
Tim
Eventually you get the hang of just compressing it enough to pop the locks in, and in a very little amount of loosening the spring will start to seat and the pressure drops off quickly. Works like a charm. I do recommend buying or fabbing one that you can use a 3/8 ratchet on the top of to make things go even quicker cause those manual compressors stab your hands.
Tim knows about this downfall as we've talked about maybe a longer stud as a fix. Don't get me wrong though, I'm NOT bashing Tim at all. You have to have his tool to swap springs!
Loadre is refering to my LT1 design tool which is very different to my LS1 Tool.
With My LT1 tool you use your exsisting rocker stud along with my tool, and Loadre was very helpful with some ideas as how to make my tool work better which by the way Loadre I am taking your advise and going to include the stud that you recommended that will get an extra 1/4 length of threads to where you will not have a problem of using my tool with extra tall springs.
My LS1 version tool I supply a special made stud that you screw into your head once the rockers are removed and then the tool slides righ over that. There is tons of extra threads on the stud to use with the extra tall springs so what Loadre is talking about IS NOT an issue with my LS1 version tool.
So to answer your question Vander99, my tool works flawlessly with 918 springs on the LS1 application.
So again what Loadre is refering to is with my LT1 Version tool and NOT my LS1 Version Tool. As for my LT1 Version I will be including a Stud as well now that will make Extra Tall Springs NOT an issue when using my tool.
Thanks for everyone's input and hope this clears up the confusion
Tim
