What Jack Can I Use?
I went to jack up my Camaro for the first time and my damn thing wont fit under it. I ended up having to use the spare tire jack and lift it enough to fit my regular one under it. What jacks do you use? I dont have $600 to spend on a Snap-on jack or anything, what else is there?

I don't own this one but I am seriously thinking about the jack and the stands.

I just use a regular Craftsman hydraulic floor jack. It fits fine under my TA, but my Z28 is lowered so I have to drive it onto some 1" pieces of wood to jack up the front.

Go to Wal Mart (or OReillys, Autozone, etc ) and get a set of rhino ramps (made for low cars) drive the car up on the ramps, then you can use your standard jack.
Depending what you're doing the ramps may get the car high enough so you don't have to use the jack
The ramps cost me $30 (lot cheaper than a new jack)

i have that craftsman $120 one. works good for me. it has a low profile which is good for low cars and it pumps up to the chassis in about 2 pumps of the handle. i think its a pretty good jack overall, but that's me. i figured it was a good investment.
