BIG tool boxes...
But 4 or 5 years old? Barely broken in my friend! Besides they're warrantied for life just like the rest of the tools. I just had 3 drawer slides warrantied on my 10+yo Mac box no questions asked. The KRL series is extremely popular and well built. I've seen them 20 years old and still worked land looked ike new if properly maintained (kept clean, oiled, etc).
Used boxes are an excellent bargain and entirely worth it. I'd have to be at gunpoint to buy a new box at truck prices. There is close to if not more than a 50% markup on those things! That's why you hear of people getting such huge deals on trade-ins, like $500 off for an old junky Craftsman box. Toolboxes are where the trucks make their money. That $5,000 box on the truck cost the dealer something like $2,000 on average. Personally I'd rather keep the $3,000 in my wallet than some tool dealers.
true that
out old matco guy was going to jail and had a stack of boxes in his garage and let them all go for 2500-3000 just to be gone
