I did a search on Epoxy flooring and people seemed 50/50 on the Home Depot/Lowes stuff....I might give it a shot considering its inexpensive, or maybe i'll try the Sherwin Williams or PPG stuff that a few members recommended.

actually I don't have my dream grage yet but I will.I'm buying a peice of property which I'm plannig to move onto but I'm not building a house just a hugh grage with living quartes above it. all in all the grage is going to be 40 feet by 90 feet with 14 ffoot ceiling. just putting a bed room kicken living room and bath room above it to live in. the rest is going to be storage for motor's, tool's, part's ect... I currently out grew my gagre that's 24 by 24. I stare both my car's there and have a trailer in it and 6 motor project's and all my tool's stored there.

During construction it looked like this and then I got the car in there with most of the tools. not a great picture to show all the room and features..but will get more later....
40X25 with 15' tall ceilings. got a small storage room in there that turns out to be a bad idea and then the steps take up 4' of the over all width, so in reality it is 36'x25', not bad but do have approval of another dedictated SHOP in a few years!!

No pics, but a little $$ made my garage very nice- epoxied the floor, painted the walls (cynder block), mounted Home Depot Halogen track lighting to point into the engine bay (don't have to mess with a worklight). Menards had some really nice metal shelving units for storage, made a 2.5' x 8' workbench, but most importnatly: Added Gas heat, and Air Conditioning!!.
By far the heat and A/C are the best things I've done. What good is the garage if you're freezing ballz or sweating your *** off?

This is my shop. It's 28x36 freestanding, built almost entirely by me. The only thing I farmed out was pouring the pad. Fully insulated, 75k Btu natural gas heat, (but no A/C ) 28 (yes, 28) four foot fluorescent fixtures, sheetrocked and painted walls, floor epoxy coated, 18x8 garage door, all the tools I've acquired in the past 25 years, and a twin post lift. I actually picked out the lift, then designed and built the shop to accomodate it. That lift is one of the best things I've ever bought. I wallowed on the ground under cars for many years, and promised myself if I ever got in a position where I could buy a lift, I would. Like any shop though, a month after it was finished, it was full to overflowing. You can never have a big enough shop!

[QUOTE=ACW]Very cool What's the specs on lift height and ceiling height?
The ceiling is 11' 8" in the middle of the shop. The lift posts are 11' 4" The lift cylinders actually poke out of the posts at full rise by six inches. I found this out after I built the shop and the lift was in, so I had to box in two "ports" for the cylinders to extend into the ceiling. Thank goodness it was between roof trusses! I can walk under the vehicle without bending over when fully raised, and I'm 6' 2" tall.

I am having a house built and will have a 3 car attached garage and plans on a detached 30x30 in the near future. Check into concrete stain as opposed to the rustoleum home depot stuff. Sounds like it won't peel like the epoxy. Plus you can actually make it look like tile if you spend the time.

My garage is incredibly dirty right now. I just got done with two MAJOR tear down projects, and unfortunately, each one had a ton of mud/dirt on it and it managed to get everywhere. I'm in the process of moving/cleaning/reorganizing all of the garages too, so everything is cluttered and messy looking. The weekend is the big clean up!
The upper garages have epoxy floor covering. The lighting sucks in them though, I'm working on installing a ton of flourescent lights. The lower garages have Diamond Clear floor covering. This stuff was great until I started working down there. The gas and coolant spills eat the Diamond Clear like no other. One day I want to move everything out of there and put down real epoxy covering.
Here are the upper garages, each one is a 4 car garage:
