Last time I checked, the human brain, heart and lungs do not work well when compressed by external forces to a thickness of a couple of inches...

So I'll take my chances and go with the cheapie yellow ramps supported by a least two jack stands... No extra large Band Aids needed here....

Rino Ramps do not come with any saftey warning? ...this makes you want to buy a pair just so you can be a part of the class-action settlement!

...Did anyone here see the guy who built the white pine wood ramps for his F-body? These were a real sight to see....

No, currently I am not skinny - I was trying to give you the skinny on Rinos use, however.

If I get under a car with Rino Ramps can I get skinney?

I have the heavy duty rhino ramps and had a Chevy 2500 4wd on them for like a month or two doing work on it and never saw any problems with them however i do have a problem with them sliding out from my t/a. I read a post on another forum that a guy uses a block of wood with a rope tied to it and runs it under the ramps under the rear tires and that holds the ramps in place.

I've had the front end of a Mustang, and then my 75 Vette on my Rhinos for weeks at a time in the past and the only problem is that the honeycomb marked the pavement.

I have some of the Rhinos and use them weekly. They hardly ever move when driving up and clear most all lowered cars. No need to worry about weight failure cause it will never happen. Those things are really well designed and blow the crappy old metal designs out of the water.

my driveway has a barley noticable angle to it, and when i went to change exhaust on a 95z28 the front was on rhino ramps and the rear on jackstands. This worked well until i went to bring it down, right as soon as i jacked the rear up enough to bring the weight off of the rear jackstands the car started rolling down the ramp and dragged the jackstands that fell down like 5 inches until i released the jack and got the rear wheels to land on the ground.

had only 2 inches between my car and my brother car afterwards.

although it did make my job easier by bringing down the front and back all at once...

I bought me a set last night at wal-mart 21.70 and a set of chock blocks for 3 bucks. I had to buy a new set of Rhino Ramps because I Lost the rubber cleat permanatly. Watch I bought the new set and I find the cleat under my tool box or some shiat after searching all day for it yesterday.

I have Rhion ramps and they work great for getting the front of the car up in the air. I feel safe under them, and I've never seen them bend. Since my jack won't fit under the car with it on the ground, I have to drive up the ramps, jack some more, then put the jackstands under the car. I did this when I had to change the tranny fluid. When I change the oil, there's enough room to get to the filter with just the ramps.

One thing I always do is have somebody spot me on the ramps. I'm good enough now to where I can do it all by feel, but I always like to have somebody verify that I'm square on the ramp before I get out of the car.

I second that rhino ramps are pretty darn strong. I have used them for 4+ years. I actually drove OVER the entire ramp in my wifes car and despite the full weight of the car behind the front wheels crashing down on the ramps the only damage to the ramps was that the plastic caved in where the lip at the end of the ramp is. The body of the ramp was not bent or damaged in any way. I actually had to jack the car up to get the body off the ramps.

2 lessons...The ramps are pretty darn stong and go slow especially in front wheel drive cars.

I will say that the rhino ramps slide on my smooth concrete floor in the garage. Pretty much useless and dangerous to drive up on in the garage.

My driveway is a concrete aggrigate. All those little stones provide some grip and the ramps don't move on the driveway.

Basically Rhino ramps are useless on a smooth concrete garage pad. Might as well get a low profile jack and four jack stands if you're working in the garage.
