We now have an extremely nice and easy to use spring tool for those do it yourselfers. It does two springs at once and takes only minutes to remove and install springs. it will not work on oversized diameter springs but any other spring will work be it a single behive, a patriot dual or even a triple spring. The bottom plate is 1/2 inch thick and has a 1/8 inch spacer that goes under it. the top plate is 1/4 inch thick so it will never flex while changing springs. all hardware is grade 8 or better. the main stud is 3/8 inch and sits at a 7.5 degree angle from the plate so when you compress the springs the plate moves down at the same angle as the valve and doesnt cause the spring to bind. will fit any factory LS1 head including the 806 castings. below are some pictures of the tool. Looks like the same style as the crane tool, except about $40 cheaper. If it works as good as the Crane, that's a great deal.
