Default New Tq Wrench

I picked up a new Tq Wrench at a swap meet yesterday for $50. Thought it would be good for crank bolts. It is 3/4" drive, has a range from 100-400 ft lbs., and is in like new condition. I found a company on the internet selling them new for $520

Geez, that thing's huge! If you don't mind me asking, what are you gonna torque down with that? Do you work one heavy equipment? (Hell, if it was me and I had the $$$, I woulda bought it just 'cause it was cool ).

BTW... what brand?

Brand - Consolidated Devices Inc.
Model - CDI 48004 MMH
When you install the LS1 crank pulley, you seat it by torquing the old bolt to 250 ft lbs. The more than 3 ft length of the wrench will make that easier too.

If the range is from 100-400, I wouldn't use it for anything lower than 150. Torque wrenches, and most other measuring equipment, isn't particularly accurate at both the low and high end of their range.
BTW: That is a great bargain. I would have bought it too, even though I don't have much use for it.
