For that amount of money I would buy the Crane one. It's so damn easy to use and you can do two springs in one shot. I think I paid under $110 for mine, it's worth checking out.

Looks like it could be hard to use under the cowl.

with the more tool, you have to keep holding the valve spring down with one hand until you get the locks in/out with the other. with the vinci/crane tool, you compress two springs at once with a nut. take your time getting the locks in/out while having both hands free.

http://www.vincihighperformance.com/superwebdeals.HTML right now 99.99. cheaper than the more and does two springs at once.

there are possitive and negatives of the more tool. I used it when I did my springs (Patriot duals). Here is what happened, when I was done with 15 springs the more tool looked like it had been run over by a train. It was broken and bent in many places. Also the hole for the 3/8 ratchet got completely rounded out. It was a total bitch compressing a dual spring of that size with one hand, I ended up having a buddy compress the spring while I put the locks on you also need to slip a peice of pipe over the end of the ratchet to compress the spring enough. as for under the cowl, I just threw some extensions on my ratchet and got er done. AQs for the other compression type spring tools some will not clear the holes in the head for the perimeter valve cover bolts on 97 98 ls1's. other than that they work pretty good.

I have the crane one and the moore one, and the lifter tools. i paid $80 shipped for the crane tool and did 4thgencamaro's car with it. I recently bought the moore tool - havent used it yet - for $40 shipped as well as the lifter tools for 40 shipped. I'm not sure how the moore is to use, but for 40... i couldnt say no to buying it.
