A Wal Mart jack nearly freakin killed me, I took it back the same day I bought it. Jacking my old Dakota R/T from the back so I had to get a bit underneath the bed to reach all the way to the rearend. Went up just fine, but when I turned the release nut to lower it back down it went from closed to all the way open instantly. The truck hit the ground so fast I couldn't possibly have moved in time. I didn't even turn it a tenth of a degree and I always go very slowly when turned that valve. I wonder what would have happened if I'd been lowering it back onto Wal Mart jackstands and it hit them that fast? Can't remember the jacks rated load, but it was at least 2.5 tons.

So long story short, you get what you pay for.

Two words: Plastic Wheels

The wal-mart jack has plastic wheels, I dont trust anything plastic especially in picking up a car.

The one that I bought had metal wheels, not plastic. But agreed, if it did have plastic wheels I would not have bought it
