I think that **** looks pretty cool....if I had an extra garage and a viper(see pics in link) or something to put in there, I would have that.

My buddy has his shop floor covered with that stuff. Image:

It looked really good when we first put it in but it's not really ideal for alot of work gion on on it. Probably perfect if you just want it for show. Its basically just re-enforced plastic.

Some Problems they've experienced:
1)floor jacks sink into the plastic.
2)the tiles are not difficult to scratch.
3)after heavy use cleaning the tiles is difficult.
4)after repeated dyno tests over the tiles they have curled and become brittle.
5)If not secured to the floor the tiles can shift and snap out of place when making tight turns on the floor.
6)Some of the mechanics have bitched that its a low traction surface...even when not oily (sliping around while walking)

I'm sure there is more but thats all i can think of right now.

man, I would save your self some trouble and just expoxy the floor, I wanted to get a commerical grade like I had at my old work, but I was at home depot and saw the rustoleim, so I figured for 40.00 I would give her a try, been 2 years now and it is still on there, so I did both sides at the same time, stuff is great. best is, I can just drain oil right on the floor and towel it off(I could if I wanted to) everything, even rear end fluid, wipes right off, hose the bitch out and squeege the water out, done. I would give it a try, and if you do not like it, then you can at least tile over it right.

That's what i was going to say. It looked like cheapy plastic or something. I would rather paint the floor with some awesome stuff and be done with it.

Agreed. Awesome if you have a garage where you keep your show car, but done ever do work in there. Dropping a screw would be a pain in the butt, it would fall through the holes and go under the tile. That and if you ever hose down the garage (like I do with a painted floor, the water would sit underneath and get mold.

JUST PAINT IT!!!!

I had a friend who had that stuff said it sucked. It was hard on the knees if you were kneeling to do work. Rolling around the floor jack was a pain. They were hard to clean too. I recommend doing POR-15 on the floor. It will last FOREVER but it is expensive. Epoxy comes up under heavy usage after a few years.

I have Race Deck. For a "show" garage it is great. Functionally all points above are true.

Not worth the price, of nearly $5.00 a tile (square foot) . . .

Looks cool though.

There's flooring on sale at CostCo right now...

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...1134043&pos=0F

48 sq ft for $90... Not bad. But I agree, it's show-garage material, not work-garage. Stuff wouldn't last a day around my shop. I'd either tear it up, or end up ripping it out.
