Default anyone have a clarke tool box

i need to get one for work and i was looking at their boxes in the summit catalog. they seem decent. i looked at boxes at lowes, home depot, and some craftsman chests.but i want a bottom box that is wide (56")and they don't offer one I like. anyone who has one or used a Clarke, would you recommend buying one when i can't afford a snap-on, matco, etc... thanks for any input.

the clarkes are good boxes. Menards carries them and i sold many of them as a hardware guy. they are powdercoated, constructed well and glide nicely. worth the cash. beat the **** out of a craftsman box

If this is for a home shop that will be used a few times a week I think a Clarke will suit you needs just fine. I have both Snap On and Clark at my personal shop and Snap On at work. If I buy another for my shop it will be a Clark just because it wont need to take a beating everyday like the ones at work.

I love my Clarke tool box. I bought it when I was a manager at autozone(20% employee discount). I couldnt be happier with it for the money.

I've never owned a snapon box, but the snapon stuff i've owned has been a joke. their standard ratchets are a joke and i've busted so many snapon sockets. their wrenches are very nice. back to the point, say yes to the clarke box.

What the hell? I friggin ADORE my snap-on ratchets.....they are so nice and smooth, and have held up to 6 years of my abuse just fine.

+1 craftsman. all my sears 'crap' has held up for almost 10 years, five of which they were used everyday, including the chest. finally just got a roll away, and for $194 out the door for the 26" 8 drawer, you can't beat it. i think i burned up one 3/8 ratchet, and it still works, its just a bit rough. i don't know how much the clark stuff is, but i like my craftsman. i don't care what anybody else says.

Tool chest or tool box?

I had this Clarke model which was good enough for what I did.
