I've never heard of anyones hobart failing due to cheap parts etc.... When taken care of they seem to be every bit as good as a Miller.

I bought a Hobart 140 today and I couldnt be happier

LOL, I hope you dont plan on using it often...............Maybe I am biased because I weld and fabricate for a living. But its hard to beat the arc quality AND warranty of the big two. Esab is a close third in the mig realm.

Well I am going to be using for garage projects etc....

I need to weld in torque boxes, anti-roll bar from UPR, some .095 DOM 1-3/4" Roll bar work, fill some holes in the engine bay, build random little brackets and fabrications

I've got a Clarke 130EN, I compared it to the small Lincolns and the Clarke's quality was definitely better. I think I only paid a little over$300 for the welder and cart. It also comes in 220v for around $400.

I just picked up a Lincoln 135T welder and car. It was about $600 shipped. It's just for sheet metal and Exhaust stuff but I feel it will do the job up to 1/4 and thats all I really need out of a MIG. If I need stronger I will TIG it.
