Default What do I need to get this B*tch off?


Anyone? I've only seen the "jaw" type pullers. Doesn't look like it'll work on this sucker. BTW it's the crank pulley on a 97 Isuzu Trooper.

prob. some sort of tool that engages those 2 peg holes, and an impact gun thats got a bunch of sack.

I already got the bolt out it's just threaded in by hand in that pic but yea i've been searching and I found that a steering wheel puller will work. But I haven't seen one setup to fit that.

BTW never buy an Isuzu. This was my moms car before some dumbass crossthreaded the plug in and it blew out during a compression stroke.. Took the threads with it too So I took the head off and heli-coil'd the head and now I'm trying to do the timing belt and water pump before I register it for my winter vehicle

Are the 2 holes threaded? Sears sells a 2 hole puller for Chrysler crankshaft pulleys and also fits steering wheels.

Hmmm... Grenades...... That just might work!!!

Nah but seriously it took me like 15min to get it off but a few good whacks with the hammer owned that sucker. It's just very awkward to get to.
